The theme of our Parish, School and Faith Formation catechetical year 2020-2021 is John 10:10: "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly". The Faith Formation team at the Church of St. Peter strongly desires to assist children and families to grow abundantly in the catholic faith.
The global pandemic we are faced with today today has changed many aspects of our lives, including the manner and method in which we educate our children. We are invited to view the necessary modifications to the usual Faith Formation calendar as an opportunity to grow in Family Faith Formation, as the focus of our catechists is expanded from assisting just the child to a broader scope that includes parents and caregivers toward God's call to know Him better and go deeper in our relationship with Him.
After thorough consideration of the many varied factors, including class and space sizes as well as the developmental needs of the children, we have determined that monthly in-person classes supported by take-home resources and activities will best promote the health safety of our community while still providing high quality education of our faith.
