The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the Christian Initiation started at Baptism. At Confirmation, Christians receive the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgement, Courage, Knowledge, Piety and Fear of the Lord. In receiving these Gifts, we are called to use them for the greater glory of God.
Confirmation is available for any young person in grade 8-12. All Confirmation candidates must be Baptized, and have received the sacraments of First Reconciliation and Eucharist. Students preparing for Confirmation must:
Students in 8th grade are invited to participate in both Confirmation preparation (1st Wednesday every month) and Middle School Faith Formation (two Fridays a month) but only need to be registered for one class. Please select Confirmation when registering your eighth grader.
If you or your student are past the age of 18 years old and have not been Confirmed, please contact the Parish Office for information on preparing for this sacrament through the Right of Christian Initiation (RCIA) Program.
